In each heat, competitors will each have 90
seconds to make a randomly selected coffee and
present their masterpiece to a panel of expert judges.
The maker of the best coffee will progress to the next
round. Heats will take place in the morning and
afternoon of 26 and 27 June, with finalists from each
heat qualifying for the Final Smackdown on 28 June.
The winning barista will take home $1000
and their café or restaurant will receive a $1000
equipment prize, plus there’ll be plenty of cash and
spot prizes available throughout the competition. If
you know a great barista and think they have what it
takes, let them know!
